Chatuchak Thai Kitchen & Market in Heidelberg

Thai cuisine in the Bahnstadt. So far I have only been there during the lunch break. Delicious food, something for everyone, and the menu is just huge. Almost all dishes can be ordered with chicken, pork, beef or duck. The portions are also generous. Good price / performance ratio. Many women can even eat 2x of the portion. I'm not that enthusiastic about the ambience, rather loveless. Why are there 2 pool tables at Thai? No idea, maybe the bear will tap there in the evening with a different audience, who knows. You could certainly make a lot more of it. But who dares such an investment during the Corona crisis? Survival is more important, which is why the local gastronomy provides support.

A large selection of dishes, which invites you to try them out. So far we have enjoyed every new dish. The spiciness is ok, but could also be a little hotter with red curry (it's a matter of taste). Very friendly staff.

We were here for the first time and are sooo happy that we tried this restaurant! The curries and soups are awesome. We look forward to the next order! The food stays so super hot in your bags, just great! The staff is great, friendly and quick, see you again very soon!

Very tasty food if you don't come at the wrong time. Some dishes, apparently the later in the day you eat there, taste like old oil or just not fresh. Otherwise, however, it is worth eating there. The selection is large and every dish is also available in vegetarian form. When there is a large crowd, some of the wait staff are a little overwhelmed.

Excellent authentic Thai food, best in Heidelberg. Large range of dishes, large portions and excellent value for money. Orders typically ready within 10 minutes. Will not go anywhere else for Thai as long as I live in Heidelberg

Unfortunately you are being fooled there. Very unfriendly cashier, tried to calculate a fee for a bag for out-of-home without being asked. Upon request and the subsequent note that, like the week before with your colleague, no bag was needed, a rancid note was referred to behind two beer bottles at the cash register and said that the price for the bag was mandatory and also includes the packaging, since this would also cost something.

Very tasty there

You can enjoy rich Asian food. It is an attractive restaurant with a generous amount and strong taste at a reasonable price. The packaging is also convenient. In foods containing cilantro, there is a lot of cilantro, so you can get your taste.

Not recommended! Ordered a shrimp and papaya salad and was put something else in the bag. Since I had ordered it to take away, I only noticed it at home. The actual salad I then had was very bad. It was some coleslaw with fish dressing and "chilli water". Not edible. So never again!

Unfriendly service and very greasy food. Only the spring rolls were delicious.

I always enjoyed going to this restaurant with my wife. Unfortunately, after a legitimate complaint at the last visit about a wrongly prepared dish, the staff behaved very unprofessionally. Their answer was that they'll do better next time. Unfortunately there won't be a next time ...

Food was good and tasty. Didn't have to wait long, it was prepared quickly. I can recommend it.

You can eat so delicious here, this is my favorite rice, I can eat it every time and never get full, I love the lemon and the great taste.

Actually super tasty !! BUT very often the ingredients are out and you get a curry with only meat and paprika ... Therefore the quality is very unstable, if you catch the right day it's great

Very tasty Thai cuisine - definitely one of the best in Heidelberg. We didn't wait 10 minutes for our food. Price-performance is great! We will be back definitely!

Very unfriendly staff.

As a Thai person, I could guarantee this place provides you an authentic Thai food. My personal recommendation goes to Som Tam, which could be described as green papaya salad.

Good Authentic Thai at a good price.

Heidelberg offers a decent meal at a very affordable price, at around 7-8 euros per meal. Orders are made at the store and meals are served in the adjacent space. Please bring your own order. It is available as a package in Corona City.

I ordered curry duck and the portion is way top small for the price and compared to other restaurants! Taste was not special.

None of my Visa or Mastercard card accepted there! I should go to ATM. Meal was tasty just regular.

It took a while to get the meal. Fortunately, it was worth the wait - very tasty!

I go there for lunch atleast once a week. My favourite is 26 with chicken ;)

We come here from time to time just out desperation, since there are no other quick Thai food places around. Service is poor, rude and unfriendly. Menu is also not the best. Despite the renovation effort it still has a lorry driver fleur. My advice - choose another place! Do not come here.

Good food

We enjoyed it very much, the soup was just right spicy, shrimp and vegetables tasted fresh. After 10 minutes we had our food, since later in the evening there were hardly any guests. Perfect for a late dinner, for example after a concert visit.

No joke: Best Thai in town!

Quick bite to eat. Many vegetables were practically raw in the Phad unfortunately, giving off quite a bitter taste. Sauce and beef were good though, intense, rich spiciness.

Good atmosphere with really tasty food, staff was so kind. We did enjoy every part of our dinner here!

The service is what threw me off. I waited for so long and the best part is that the people who came way after me, received the food before me. The food was not even that great btw. They don't clean the tables and the lady that gives the food is all over the place screaming and it creates the scene of a cantene and not a restaurant.

The food is really good. But for me myself it was too much. I felt sorry for having the leftovers but really couldn't take it all.

Food is average. Nothing special, as with most restaurants in Europe, the spice is mild or hardly there. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. It would be a good place to bring a date. If you don't mind that there's a billiards table and slot machines next to you. The service is strange. It's like a weird combination of self-service. First, you order at the window and find a seat and at some point, your food will arrive. Pick up utensils yourself and get down to business. At other fast food restaurants, you pay for your meal. You get your meal, you sit down. This place, the guy is just walking around trying to figure out who ordered what. The amount of plates that were put down infront of us that didn't belong to us... It just doesn't seem very efficient.

Authentic Thai food in a casual atmosphere. The curries are delicious and the people are very friendly. I’ll be back soon. Highly recommended!
